The 2 Most Important Words You’ll Read Today

Prayers and provision. These two words may be the most important words you'll hear today. These words are found in a letter written by the Apostle Paul from a Roman jail in the first century. In prison because he was professing his faith in God, an unpopular message even then. He writes a letter to the church at Philippi. Instead of lamenting his conditions, he expresses repeated joy.

The reason he can rejoice is that he is convinced that whatever happens, God will take care of him. He says, “I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:19).

Prayer is where we communicate with God. We speak, he hears. Provision is where God divinely responds to our specific situation with his answer. God answers every prayer either yes, no, or not now. So we pray. He's watching. Are you praying?
