Yes, it is a beautiful time of year. Yes, the pollen count must be high with all the sniffling and sneezing. Yes, we must accept the good with the bad - and that has been the case in many instances. In his last letter to Timothy (2 Timothy) the apostle Paul said that we (preachers) are to reprove (convince), rebuke (confront) and to exhort (comfort).

We’re looking forward to a great summer! JP Wamble was with us on Sunday, even though he doesn’t begin as our new youth minister until early June. However, he introduced our summer interns - and both were with us even though they don’t begin until their year at FHU ends. You’ll hear more about each of them soon.

What a great day we had on Sunday! Even though we had a significant number of our members who went to Nashville, we had many guests, including visitors from our neighborhood and family of our own members who came and participated in our worship.

Our Lads to Leaders are now enjoying some of the rewards of their work over the past few months. They are attending the Lads to Leaders Convention in Nashville this weekend.

Our Elders appreciation Luncheon was a tremendous success and enjoyable occasion! It was a time to recognize and share our appreciation for those who lead us and remember that we have a responsibility to ‘give honor to whom honor is due.’

What a privilege to worship. We are gifted with the proper mind to develop our thoughts, the proper avenues through which we might express these in the form of words, through which we praise our Lord, plead to Him for our continuing needs, and pledge our undying devotion to the cause that binds us together.
