Yes, sir! The summer is getting better and better. I’m glad we have the Summer Series. I get a chance when I am going to other congregations to send greetings from Germantown - as well as see what is happening in area congregations. All I can say is that we are blessed with many good brothers and sisters in Christ who are meeting on Wednesday nights around our area.

I love Summer! Look at the list of activities planned! Did you notice the coming of Mid-South Youth Camp? I never had the privilege of going to Summer Camp as a child. It just wasn’t a big item in our area of the country. But as an adult, I began attending summer camp with our children from church and found that it was tremendous!

Again, just because it is summer does not mean that the activities come to a halt. There was a very successful diaper drive/distribution this past weekend with several good opportunities for follow-up visits and studies. We rejoice with these. Ultimate took place on Friday and Saturday of this week—and we are always thrilled at the beginning of the youth activities for the summer.

We are thrilled that you are here. It is not only a pleasure to be able to worship, but to be able to worship together at Germantown. We have numerous activities spread out over our summer. I trust that you are marking them down and become a part of everything that you can.

So many events! So much happening! You don’t want to miss anything!

It was good to worship together on Sunday! When you stop to consider the numerous blessings we receive from God, you would have to admit that we are blessed.

Yes, it is a beautiful time of year. Yes, the pollen count must be high with all the sniffling and sneezing. Yes, we must accept the good with the bad - and that has been the case in many instances. In his last letter to Timothy (2 Timothy) the apostle Paul said that we (preachers) are to reprove (convince), rebuke (confront) and to exhort (comfort).

We’re looking forward to a great summer! JP Wamble was with us on Sunday, even though he doesn’t begin as our new youth minister until early June. However, he introduced our summer interns - and both were with us even though they don’t begin until their year at FHU ends. You’ll hear more about each of them soon.
