What a great snow!! I still can’t believe it. I enjoyed watching the snow fall and never once thought about getting out and shoveling snow. I know there are people in other parts of the country that would love to have a beautiful snow that didn’t last long. I’m so grateful! We certainly had an outstanding area-wide youth rally last Sunday night.

The Young at Heart Banquet was outstanding! We have reports of 95 of our seniors at the dinner and about 25 teens helped serve the meals. “Andy at Mayberry” is still receiving rave reviews as our teens were educated on the simple truths from Mayberry that most of us either watched each week in years past or watched years later on Nickelodeon.

Time is passing quickly! Even for 2025, events are moving right along. Our Wednesday night class with Keith Fussell on ‘Building Strong Relationships’ continues and is being well received.

The Elder’s Breakfast was excellent. I say that every year because there is something special for the leadership to present the “Plan for our Congregational Efforts during Fiscal Year 2025.” To have it on a Saturday morning provides the opportunity for us to save Bible School hour on Sunday for studying the Bible together.

By the time you read this, our Elder’s Breakfast should be history. Looking at the plans they have made for the morning, it should be a successful event. The purpose of the breakfast has been to establish and enhance the relationship of our elders with the congregation, first by serving the breakfast, and then by sharing insights into the view of the new year.

The snow actually came!! I’m sorry it came close enough to impact our having services. (Our thanks to the elders for deciding a service in the middle of the day was most prudent. That is never an easy decision.) I’m sorry that I missed the snow! It was 84 degrees in India and I was swatting mosquitoes.

Good News from Germantown! The year is already been launched - and there are so many good things to rejoice over.

2025? Here we are! Here we go! Our year began very appropriately. We had a devotional on Wednesday night with our elders leading us in a devotional time focusing on prayer, praise, thanksgiving, and request for blessing as we move forward as God’s family at Germantown. It couldn’t have been more appropriate as we launch into the new year.
