Priceless Advice

Want some advice?

Advice is cheap. That's what it may be worth, but I think this is different. One popular author recently advised: Seek out a man ten years older than you and ask, “What should I know about the next decade of my life?”

I thought about that for a moment and then thought, “What if someone ten years younger than me asks me about the next ten years of his life?”

What would I say?

I would say, “Honestly, I don't know. You aren't me and I'm not you. I've made good decisions and poor decisions. I've said things I've regretted and other things that I was glad to be able to say. Bottom line here's the best advice I've ever been told. It's found in your Bible, in Proverbs chapter three:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
